The Rolex Oyster Perpetual 6075 is a historically significant “Ovettone” or “Big Bubbleback” model from the early 1950s. It is renowned as one of the first references to feature the “Datejust” name on the dial, often in red print. The 6075 was a key step in the evolution of the Datejust line, featuring a large 36mm case, a self-winding movement with a date complication (often with a “roulette” date wheel), and sometimes the rare “Super Oyster” crown. It was produced in 18k yellow and pink gold, as well as gold and steel, with a variety of dial textures like honeycomb.
